Group Exercise and Health and Wellness Class Descriptions


This class consists of 40 minutes of either basic step aerobics, indoor cycling or a combination of the two, for a challenging calorie-burning cardiovascular workout, followed by 20 minutes of core work using a variety of equipment such as Bosu, fitness balls, TRX and more.

Ab attack

This 15-minute class will challenge and increase your core strength.  Using the ball, mat and other forms of equipment, these exercises are designed to define the abs and also strengthen the back to improve posture and core strength.

Muscle Works

Total body resistance training class using a bar with adjustable, weighted plates, dumbbells, balls, and steps. This class is ideal for those who want to increase resting metabolism, decrease body fat, as well as increase muscle tone. Tone up!

active older adults

This class combines low impact/intensity step moves with calisthenics and gentle stretching to provide an overall workout for the Active Older Adult. Gentle stretching is incorporated to help improve range of motion for an overall workout.  Keep moving!


This class is high intensity, endurance-based 30 minute workout developed by Jillian Michaels, popular trainer from the hit TV show, “The Biggest Loser”.  Utilizing Jillian’s 3-2-1 interval approach, 3 minutes of strength + 2 minutes of cardio + 1 minute of abs, you will shed fat, define muscle, transform the look of your entire physique, and dramatically enhance your overall health and athletic performance.

Get in, get out and get your heart rate up!  This class will be a quick, efficient cardiovascular sampler, with a variety of cardio training methods, including, but not limited to, floor aerobics, cardio kick, cardio circuits, or cardio intervals.

C3 (Cycle * conditioning * core)

Variety is the spice of life…and of this class!  You will do short beginner-level cycle intervals to increase your heart rate, followed by a set of resistance training utilizing weights of the TRX Suspension Trainer to increase muscle tone.  The class will conclude with core work and give you that full body workout.

Cycle & Strength

Come in on your lunch hour and leave accomplishing a great deal.  This class will allow you to increase your cardiovascular endurance by challenging yourself on the bike, while alternating between strength endurance sets, using free weights, weight bars, and/or the TRX Suspension Trainer.  Arrive 10 min before class in order to ensure proper bike set-up. family cardio Hip hop

Bring the whole family and get fit using the latest dance moves in a hi-energy, party atmosphere!  You will learn fun dance combinations while getting a great workout.

body core fusion

This class will use a variety of equipment such as balls, bands, light weights and natural body weight to define, strengthen and lengthen the muscles.  Exercises will focus on increasing core, joint stability, balance and range of motion.  Moderate to fast pace flowing movement with emphasis on the mind body connection fusing the principles of bothe Pilates and Yoga technique.

Yoga in Chairs

Yoga in chairs is designed for the senior population or anyone with a disability or limitations due to illness or injury. This is a very gentle form of Hatha Yoga. Everyone performs the exercises at their own pace while sitting on a chair for support. These exercises are very beneficial and give a range of motion from your head to your toes. For everyone’s fitness level whether you are a beginner or a more experienced participant. You can do it!


These classes are body conditioning classes performed on a mat utilizing stretching and strengthening exercises. Designed to strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, flexibility and balance. Participants will train the mind and body to work together toward the goal of overall fitness. Flow to better form!

Breathe and Bend

This class combines movements focusing on length, strength, balance and breath.  Principles of Pilates and traditional yoga, coupled with inspiring music and breathing, help immerse you into this class that challenges your body from every angle.  Prepare yourself to get long and lean, while relieving stress in this total body workout.

Yoga Fit

This yoga class is designed as a fitness workout. Flowing yoga poses will be emphasized through music. Participants can slowly build strength, endurance, and balance. Stretch to fitness!


Indoor cycling will increase your cardiovascular endurance and strengthen your abs, lower back and legs while providing an aerobic challenge just for you.  Come 15 minutes before class in order to ensure proper bike set-up.


These classes are Latin-inspired, dance-fitness classes that incorporate latin and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic and exciting fitness workout! Zumba integrates the basic principles of aerobic, interval, and resistance training to maximize caloric output, cardiovascular benefits, and total body toning. Come join the dance!

Cardio Pump

This interval class is designed for the advanced exerciser to obtain optimum fat burning results. Participants will alternate between cardio and strength-training exercises throughout the duration of the class. Be ready to work. it!


Make your body your machine!  TRX Suspension Trainer is adjustable to any fitness level.  Modify your intensity by changing your body angle.  Be ready to work your core and your stabilizers.  Be ready for a full body workout and toning.


HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training.  This class is for the advanced exerciser who already has an aerobic base.  Participants will alternate between bouts of timed intense activity and recovery.  HIIT exercises are short in duration and intended to get the heart rate up very quickly and not intended for the beginner exerciser.  If you are ready to take your workouts to the next level, Y-HIIT is for you!

STOTT Pilates Reformer Prep

This is a conditioning class performed on a mat utilizing the STOTT PILATES method of stretching and strengthening exercises. Designed to strengthen and tone muscles, and improve posture, flexibility and balance. Flow, Align, Reform!

Designed for the senior population or anyone with a disability or limitations due to illness or injury.  This class is designed to complement the Yoga in Chairs program with various exercises that encourage strength and mobility, while utilizing bands, balls and light weights.  Everyone performs the exercises at their own pace while sitting on a chair for support.

This version of Yoga in Chairs is similar to the original, but will focus more on individuals with a disability or limitations due to illness or injury.  Everyone performs the exercises at their own pace while sitting on a chair for support.  These exercises are very beneficial and give a range of motion from your head to your toes.

strong by Zumba

Moving in sync with music makes you work harder.  This class will push you past your plateaus to help you reach your fitness goals faster.  Using your own body weight, you will gain muscular endurance, tone and definition, and you will experience an increased after burn.

Y Barre

Y Barre is designed to emphasize the correct biomechanics of movement combined with the power of music to increase strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic stability.  It is a program geared for everyone – no dance experience or tutus are required!


A great form of exercise to help individuals deal with stress and pressures of modern living.  It will work the joints and muscles to increase flexibility, strength, balance and good blood flow.  It is a way to decrease tension.  It leads to quiet relection, proper breathing and spinal alignment.
